Chelsea, over the objections of the party "big wigs,"
is tested and found to be a perfect match. Chelsea is now faced
with a decision that will affect the rest of her life. Does she
give up her quest to become the first female governor or save her

and SALLY brings a new twist to the Chelsea novels. Chelsea's daughter
who is a student at the University of Colorado, is drug overdosed,
raped and left to die by two Colombian students. When she is brought
to the hospital, a young black fourteen year old girl, Sally, who
is a runaway from an abusive home in Georgia, stays by her bed side.
The two girls bond with each other. The first scene Chelsea sees
is this young black girl holding her daughter's hand trying to comfort
her. Chelsea Lyn dies and Chelsea believes that God has given her
this little black girl for her daughter. The quest to adopt her
begins, but Sally "doesn't want to join a white family."
She is finally adopted. Chelsea in an attempt to avenge her daughter's
death, appeals to President Denton to have the Colombian students
returned for trial. He does nothing. Her fight continues.
